    Hiking

The Buitrera peak or Cerro de Mesa Peñota is the first summit that exceeds two thousand meters in altitude in the Sierra de Ayllón, in the eastern sector of the Central System. The usual routes are the one indicated from the hermitage of Hontanares through the Cancho Gordo and a very popular route also from the port of La Quesera. The summit is an extraordinary balcony of the Sierra de Ayllón and the oak and beech forests of the Tejera Negra Natural Park, at the source of the Lillas and Sorbe rivers.

    Hiking

It is usually the highest place on the routes in this area, so it is a good idea to rest next to its geodesic and admire the surrounding landscape.
