On about half of the hike, a trail leads you to the Eichbergen. The name comes from a 19th-century custom. At that time every wedding couple had to plant an oak tree. From here you have a beautiful view through the foliage of the trees on the Dahme and the meadows behind. With a bit of luck, you might spot a kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) building its nest in caves on the slopes. Also, the liverwort (Hepatica nobilis) can be discovered here. The Leberblümchen has become rare in Germany and is therefore under special protection.

It's impressive how high the hill is, so you also have a beautiful view. You can see very nicely how the Dahme meanders.
