This branch of the Sandy River is often impacted by mudslides and debris from the river, making the crossing potentially tricky, especially in the early summer months or after a significant snowmelt. Depending on water levels, you'll have to do some rock hopping or fording, so be sure to use caution.
Surrounded by beautiful towering rock formations and cascading waterfalls, this is also a fantastic spot to take in the scenery. Be sure to fill your water bottle while you're here, as it is the only reliable water source before reaching McGee Creek—another 4.72 miles, just past McNeil Point Shelter.
