Hiking
The Brande station was opened together with the Give-Herning section on January 1, 1914. On October 1, 1914, the state took over the private railway Vejle-Give. This completed the Vejle-Holstebro line, as the Herning-Holstebro section had already been inaugurated on October 11, 1904.
At the same time, work was underway on the other Jutland diagonal line: the Langå-Bramming line. The railway (Laurbjerg-Silkeborg) was inaugurated on November 12, 1908, and from the south, the section from Bramming to Brande was inaugurated on December 1, 1917.
The most difficult section, Brande-Funder, was inaugurated on October 1, 1920.
