Ladislav Lis was a Czech and Czechoslovak politician, chairman of ČSM in the 1950s, an official of KSČ in Prague in 1968, a dissident during the normalization period, a signatory and in 1982 also a spokesperson for Charter 77, after the Velvet Revolution a member of the Chamber of Nations of the Federal Assembly for Civic Forum, later for Civic Movement. He was a close friend of Václav Havel, who visited him here in Peklo several times.
