Two churches next to each other
The two churches Igreja dos Carmelitas (from 1628) and Igreja do Carmo (from 1750 / 60s) of the Carmelite order offer complete contrasts from 2 centuries. While everything is simply furnished in the older church, the younger church has a pretty late baroque facade with an elaborate rococo interior. It impresses with the tiled outer wall.
