The railway line was apparently closed a long time ago. It led from Czerwonka (Rothfliess) over 121 km through Masuria to Ełk (Lyck).
The line is single-track and not electrified, impassable between Czerwonka and Orzysz, between Orzysz and Ełk it can be used by passenger trains at eighty kilometers per hour and by freight trains at sixty.
It is intended to reopen the line for passenger services after modernization.

Woźnice was founded in 1548 by Stefan Pomaska [5]. The buildings of the village are formed in the shape of a street on the animated Mikołajki - Orzysz route. The building of the historic school is significant. The village received its first school before 1740. Currently, there is a post office in the building of the former school. The new school was built in 1936.
