Marina di Ragusa is a district of the city of Ragusa in the Italian region of Sicily. It is located 25 km south of the city center of Ragusa directly on the sea.
The original fishing village was formerly called Mazzarelli (Arabic for "small suburb"). A lighthouse was built in the 14th century. In the middle of the 19th century, the small town grew because asphalt deposits were discovered in the area around Ragusa. The asphalt mined was brought to Mazzarelli and loaded onto ships.
