The interiors of the castle are inhabited and therefore can not be visited. Very nice to see, however, is the courtyard of the castle!

Eybach Castle is a Renaissance castle originally built in the middle of the 16th century in the district of Göppingen in the district of Eyis in Geislingen. It was replaced in the 18th century by Count August Christoph von Degenfeld-Schonburg by the present transitional style from the Rococo to Classicism and is still owned by this family today. The castle represents a constructional example of the pigtail style.

Eybach Castle was built in 1540 by the Counts of Degenfeld as a Renaissance castle. After the destruction of the castle Hoheneybach in the Thirty Years' War, the castle became the main residence of the counts. It was replaced in the 18th century by the current transitional style of Rococo to Classicism, two gatehouses of the previous building are still preserved.
The buildings worth seeing are still privately owned by the counts. When the gate is open, you can enter the courtyard and have a look. Unfortunately, the pretty castle garden hides behind a high wall.
