The fortress weir, commonly known as the Dam on Piława, was built in 1936 as an important element of the Pomeranian Embankment and has been perfectly preserved to this day. It belongs to very unique hydrotechnical devices of a military nature. The weir dams up the Piława waters over a length of 2 km. The structure itself is complex and consists of heavily fortified abutments, an artificial waterfall and three culverts over which there is a large shelter.
