Hiking

The former military training area is the only one in Germany that is open to the public and can be visited. It was largely spared from settlements, road construction, river cleaning and intensive economic use. Always grazed by sheep, a park-like pasture landscape was preserved here, as was common on the Alb in the 19th century.
