This is the closest trailhead to get to Monuments 78 and 83 on the US/Canada border. You'll hike about eleven kilometers to Monument 78, where the famous 4,000-kilometer Pacific Crest Trail ends. The trail leads you mainly along the rushing Castle Creek.
For Monument 83 you have to walk a little further. It's about 15 kilometers to the border. You'll also climb about 700 meters in altitude.
