Hiking
The stone city fortifications (ring of fieldstone city walls) with originally four gates were built after 1325, i.e. in the first half of the 14th century. It was closely related to the Loitz Castle (first mentioned in 1314 as "slot" or "hus loitz"), which had been built on an older Slavic rampart on the Peene and was already well fortified.
