Hiking
The still young church was rebuilt around 1800 after a fire. The tower, visible from afar, has a height of 55 meters. The church is located directly in the city center of Burgdorf at the so-called Spittaplatz.
The church narrowly escaped destruction again during WWII. In the final days of the war, aerial bombs hit the rectory and the district court located right next to it. The rectory was completely destroyed - the district court was only hit on one outer wall. The church was spared.
