Hiking

The tunnel bunker dates back to 1943. It is approx. 140 meters long and was supposed to protect around 400 people from the air raids in World War II. In 2019 and 2020, the air raid shelter was made accessible again with funds from the NRW funding program "Heimatzeugnis" and can be visited as part of guided tours. On April 7, 1945, the peaceful handover of Beleckes to the Americans was negotiated here.
