Parc Monceau is a quiet place where Parisians enjoy the greenery. Its grand entrance through the gates on either side of the rotunda is emblematic. From the Place de Rio de Janeiro you enter the park through the beautiful gate with gilding. At the exit on the north side is one of the Rotundas de Ledoux, which were part of Le Mur des Fermiers Généraux, which was intended to prevent smuggling. If you leave the park via the Avenue van Dyck you have to go through such a beautiful gate again.
