The Tyler State Park loop via Tyler Drive offers a delightful mountain biking experience on mostly paved, multi-use paths. You'll pedal through a charming woodland environment, enjoying views of the Neshaminy Creek and passing under the shade of impressive 100-foot-tall pine trees. While rated easy, this 6.2-mile (9.9 km) route with 322 feet (98 metres) of elevation gain does feature some hilly sections, especially on the west side of the creek, providing a gentle challenge without being overly technical. Expect to complete this scenic loop in about 36 minutes.

Planning your ride is straightforward; the park's paths are well-maintained and wide, making for a comfortable journey. Spring and fall are ideal seasons for a visit, offering the most pleasant temperatures and beautiful foliage. Mountain bikers are generally advised to ride clockwise on the multi-use trails to ensure a smooth flow with other park users.

Tyler State Park spans over 1,700 acres, offering more than just this loop. While the Tyler Drive trail is paved and beginner-friendly, the park also features other mountain biking options like the more challenging Perimeter Trail or Rocky Ridge Trail for advanced riders. You might even spot original stone buildings dating back to the early 18th century, remnants of the old farm that once occupied this beautiful natural space.
