Shallow creeks are typical of karst landscapes. A body of water flows through an opening in the terrain and then continues underground. In the Hain valley, an occasional water-bearing stream has cut into the subsoil and ends in a sinkhole that is constantly changing. Five older entry holes can be found in the vicinity.
