The Heinersreuther mill was already documented in the Landbuch Bayreuth in 1398. The millers owned a lot of property. In 1697 the mill still had: 1 house with a stable and attached barn for the hay, plus 1 free-standing Städel, 1 barn with shed for the cutting mill. There is also an oven, a farmhouse garden, a courtyard and a wooden floor. The Maisel / Masel family has been at the mill since 1709.
