She created a series of impressionist paintings, watercolors and drawings, some of which are on display in the Sebnitz City Museum today. Typical motifs by Ilse Ohnesorge are rural scenes, the linen weavers in the silk flower town of Sebnitz and landscape motifs from Saxon Switzerland.
In the Sebnitz forest on the Kaiserberg, a path and stones are named after the painter.
