Nice, well-kept war memorial in Schwarzenbach, optically very nicely laid out and well-kept. Is worth a detour to visit, to commemorate our fallen and missing, the senseless wars in the world.

As in many other places, there is also a war memorial in Schwarzenbach to commemorate the fallen and missing from past wars. Nice and well-kept area.

The inscription used on this war memorial (in recent times the less martial-sounding term "memorial to the fallen" has also become increasingly common) is – despite the considerable time that has passed since the two terrible world wars – still relevant in the 21st century: "In memory of the dead – as a warning to the living" remains the timelessly valid exhortation proclaimed by the memorial found here.
