Lake Vassivivères is the largest in Limousin and one of the largest artificial lakes in France.
Designed for tourism, the lake is surrounded by several campsites and restaurants, but Vassivières remains a fairly calm lake. An island and several peninsulas are crossed by many hiking trails.
