It is certainly one of the youngest bridges in Lübeck and, in times of prestressed concrete, also one of the most extraordinary. It was built in 1994 and has been a popular link for cyclists and pedestrians ever since.
The Klughafenbrücke, named after the port of the same name at the end of the canal, spans the Elbe-Lübeck Canal with a length of 130 meters. This means that the old town can be reached in a short distance from St. Jürgen. At the foot of the bridge there are more than 150 species of plants in a wildflower meadow.
