Alteretto is an abandoned mountain farming village that nature is slowly taking back: the stone-covered roofs have collapsed, the surrounding balconies have fallen off, the ceilings on the floors have partially or completely collapsed. You will find a small chapel and a large, stately, well-fortified house (with loopholes) between nettles and bushes. The emigration to France and America sealed the end of the village, the last inhabitant died in 1947. - Warning, the village is cordoned off; Be careful when climbing around !!
