Hiking
On the Trabocchetto hill, on a panoramic point, the Pietresi raised a cross for a vow made to San Nicolò after the miracle of 1525. The Cross was demolished during the French Revolution, it was rebuilt in 1945, a year after the bombings that destroyed the neighborhood Ajetta leaving the Basilica intact, but it was crushed by the wind in 1964.
The current cross, painted red and seven meters high, was installed in 1965.
