The Emparis plateau is in the middle of a protected area. You will therefore have a good chance of encountering the rich fauna of the Écrins. It is also a privileged space for the bivouac (find out about local regulations).
On the plateau, you will strongly feel what is called the great outdoors: the plateau is very extensive and offers an incredible view of La Meije and its glaciers.

The Emparis plateau is a magnificent place with an incredible faunal and botanical richness. It is really worth dragging your gaiters or your mountain bike there. A bivouac in front of the magnificent landscape of La Meije and its glaciers is a must!

Superb alpine plateau frequented by walkers and cyclists. The privileged access for mountain bikes is by Mizoën / Singuigneret, by a wide track without any car or almost.
