The Barrington Bunkhouse was a former school. It was one of about 6 funded by Bishop Barrington in the area with the damages the church received after a court case over mining rights. The bunkhouse was set up in 2009 (and is still being run) by Val. It sleeps about a dozen. The sound of the stream tumbling down outside is very relaxing. The shower is nice and hot. Val goes out her way to make your stay a good one. You can book through the Independent Hostels webpage.
