Hiking
A wonderful "mountain" trail.
Les Monts are a series of artificial mounds of the 11th century fortifications at Brakel Castle. The reinforcements had to secure the Nivelles-Halle road. around 1200 the road would have been moved, after which these fortifications were abandoned and the castle of Braine-l'Alleud was built.
On top of the third "mound" is a stone cross "Bon dieu des monts".
The whole forms a real mountain trail. Just fun!
