Hiking
Sunnyhurst Wood is popular with walkers and often linked with a hike up to Darwen Tower on Darwen Moor. Through the heart of this 85-acre (34 ha) wooded valley flows Sunnyhurst Brook and there are myriad trails that explore just about every nook and cranny.
There's plenty of nature on display, as well as a series of wooden animal sculptures. The visitor centre is open from Thursday to Sunday and provides a wealth of information about the area.
