In the Waldensermuseum, much information about the history of the Waldensians and the founding of the town of Großvillars (approx. 300 years ago by the Waldensians from the Chisone Valley in present-day Piedmont/Turin) is conveyed through many pictures. Some exhibits are displayed in display cases.

In the craftsman's house, the Waldenserhäusle, dating from 1864/65, the Waldensermuseum is housed in Großvillars. The formerly dilapidated house, which was condemned for demolition, was restored with great commitment by the Bürgerverein Großvillars e.V. association, which was founded for this purpose. Informative glass panels with pictures present valuable information about the history of the Waldensians and the founding of the village.

The house was renovated with great attention to detail and very thoroughly. It is sometimes open for visits on Sundays.
