The Svenska Turistföreningen (STF) hut in Ritsem is located next to the Sámi settlement and offers a good starting point for hikes into the Sarek, Padjelanta, and Stora Sjöfallet National Parks. From here, you have a wonderful view of the vast Áhkkájávrre and the Áhkká massif behind it.
The hut is usually open from March to April and then again from the end of June to the beginning of September. You can find the exact dates on the STF homepage. During the season, you will find accommodation options here, as well as a small shop and a café.
