The driveway from Immenstadt is paved throughout, most of that from Gunzesried as well. At the mountain station you have a fantastic view over the Allgäu and there is a kiosk.

Hiking
The mountain station at Mittag is a perfect starting point for tours in the direction of the Nagelfluhkette or into the Gunzesried Valley. Anyone who knew the Mittag summit (including the cozy summit hut) from earlier times and enjoyed its tranquility will be, to put it mildly, shocked by the massive expansion that has taken place there. No longer a place to feel comfortable.
