Cycling
The Trave hiking trail was created in 1961. It begins in Oldesloe and ends after only 4 km near Kneedens. Two footbridges allow a crossing to the right bank of the Trave: next to the railway bridge, a newly built footbridge leads over to the Schanzenbarg district, thus opening up a detour to Rethwischhof. The second bridge near the old Trave oxbow leads over to Sehmsdorf, where you can follow the old school path along the right bank of the Trave to Meddewade.
