At the end of the first stretch of the path of the Franks this beautiful basin hosting a couple of mountain pastures and a small village offers one of the first, majestic views of the surrounding mountains, the path connects to a dirt road with moderate slope that connects to the asphalted road coming from Chiomonte, which you follow for less than a km before taking the former military dirt road which, passing over the pian del frais, ends its journey at the Gran Seren fort.
