Green area located 30 minutes from the center of Bitonto and the Metropolitan City of Bari. In an area that is not too large (to be appreciated especially at sunset) you can discover all the "ingredients" of the Murgia: pastures, dense reforestation, arable land, jazzi and structures related to transhumant pastoralism, cisterns, endless dry stone walls, steppe vegetation (ferula, asphodels, thyme, numerous wild orchids, rue, etc.) and large spaces, blades and slight cliffs, white rocks and blue skies furrowed by the flight of birds of prey , sweeping views from the Adriatic Sea to Castel del Monte.

It is a beautiful adult coniferous forest. Although it is called the municipal wood of Bitonto Murgia of the City, it is many km away from it. It is a wood immersed in the Murgia nestled between the countryside of Ruvo si Puglia Altamura. It is mainly composed of Aleppo pine but there are also essences of eucalyptus cypresses.

Cycling
Green and wooded area not far from the Quasano area, surrounded by the typical Murgian karst landscape. From here there are several rather interesting trails that cross the length and breadth of the forest, preferably to be done on Mtb.
