Velika kosa, at 5,314 feet (1,620 m), is a peak in the Northern Velebit, just to the north of the Velebit Botanical Garden. It's a short ascent from the Zavižan mountain hut to reach the summit. Your reward is magnificent views across the Velebit massif and out to the islands of the Adriatic Sea.

Hiking

One of the many peaks (harsh, unusual and stony) that characterize the chain of Northern Velebit. From here you can enjoy an amazing view of the Morlacca Channel (Velebitski kanal), a narrow stretch of sea that separates the coast from the Kvarner islands of Krk, Prvic and Rab.
