Gravel riding
The intersection of the Aller and the Mittellandkanal (MLK) is technically not a classic "waterway junction" like in Minden (Weser) or Magdeburg (Elbe), where the canal leads across the river on a bridge. Since the Mittellandkanal in the Wolfsburg/Vorsfelde area lies higher than the natural water level of the Aller, the Aller (and its side arms like the Allerbüttler Riede) is pressed under the canal bed.
