History
The Falkenhain church on the edge of the Wermsdorf Forest was built in the 12th or 13th century in the Romanesque style.
In 1550, Heinrich Truchseß added a church tower to it. This was demolished in 1708 under Collator Rudolf Heinrich von Lüttichau when the church was converted into a hall church, which was in fact a new building of the church at his own expense.
In 1873 and 1874, another extensive renovation took place, redesigning the interior, enlarging the church windows and building the gallery.
