Hiking
Built from 1824 to 1830 according to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, the church on Werdersche Markt is probably the most authentic building of its creator. With the church, Schinkel created a major work of German Gothic Revival.

Hiking
The red brick church was designed by the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel and built between 1824 and 1830. Even though he followed the wish of Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm IV to build a church in the Gothic style, Schinkel nevertheless remained true to his preference for antiquity.

Actually, the Friedrichswerder Church is not a church at all, but a museum with great statues by various artists. Admission is free!
