The spring water has a far-reaching historical significance in Völksen and can be proven over several centuries historically. The spring water was for many centuries the only public source of water for the population in Völksen. The water is pleasantly cool and drinkable

Hiking
In the middle of the Springer district of Völksen, on Bohlweg, there is a holy well, which is still called "Hilligen Born" today and whose origins date back to the 15th century.
The interesting history of the spring can be found on a plaque on the street!
