Hiking

Former brickworks with industrial buildings north of Noeverseweg. Closed in 1975. A preserved ring kiln with an adjacent shed to the east, a partially demolished chimney to the west, and a chimney south of Noeverseweg leaning against a former stable.

Recent preparation room and drying kilns west of the ring kiln. All drying sheds were demolished. In their place, an extensive green area with vegetable gardens was created.

Hiking

Peeters en Van Mechelen is one of the 3 former brick factories and has gradually acquired a new location in Noeveren. In 1991 Patrick Piccarelle established his home and studio here, others followed him. Today, Peeters & Van Mechelen is the only brick factory in the Rupel region of which all company buildings have been preserved and repurposed into housing, studios, an office and two exhibition spaces.
