Cycling
The largest dam in Lower Saxony offers plenty of nature and stands as a significant structure in the region. However, it was already very empty at the beginning of October, which was truly alarming. Circling it by bike or on foot is possible and offers a lot of variety. There isn't much in the way of gastronomy, so if anything, I recommend bringing enough food and drink. Passenger boat services were already discontinued in 2025.
