A beautiful former monastery church, now the town's parish church. The former Benedictine convent was founded in 870. In 893, Monheim acquired the relics of Saint Walburga. Soon after, Monheim became one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Europe. The current building dates from the late Gothic period. The year 1509 is inscribed on the north portal of the church. The interior is decorated in the Baroque style. The vault was constructed in its present form in 1596.
