Hiking
The Mombeekvallei nature reserve winds like a narrow green ribbon through fertile agricultural land in the border zone between Alken and Sint-Lambrechts-Herk. It is a typical brook valley of Vochtig-Haspengouw. In addition to brush and thickets, the valley also contains many wooded edges, flowery hay meadows and stream-accompanying bushes. Hiking
Via the red walking loop you immediately descend into the valley and explore a beautifully preserved valley landscape of flower-rich grasslands, wooded edges and forests accompanying the stream via winding plank paths and over wooden bridges.

Hiking
On the really swampy parts they have provided good walking paths, but it is best to wear waterproof shoes!
