a vibrant meeting place where tradition meets nature. As the oldest town in the Bavarian Forest (granted town rights in 1376), Grafenau exudes a unique blend of historical dignity and rural tranquility.
The town square is characterized by well-preserved burgher houses, the Old Town Hall, the Muleteer Fountain, and the Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary. Cobblestones, Bavarian gables, and lovingly designed facades lend the center a welcoming atmosphere that invites visitors to linger.
