The Mundo River is one of the most important rivers in the province of Albacete. Its birth is produced from a series of springs that flow from the limestone rocks of the natural park. These springs form a waterfall known as the "Cascada de los Batanes". From its source, the river covers a distance of approximately 130 kilometers to its mouth at the Segura River, in Murcia. Throughout its course, the river forms numerous waterfalls and waterfalls, such as the "Hundimiento waterfall" and the "Los Chorros waterfall".

At 8.2 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 344 meters, this moderately difficult hike will take approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, offering an immersive experience in the nature of Albacete.

To plan your visit, note that the best time to explore the trails of the Parque Natural de los Calares del Mundo y de la Sima is spring or autumn, especially after periods of rain. It is during these times that the river's flow is most abundant, increasing the likelihood of witnessing "El Reventón," a natural phenomenon where water bursts forth with incredible force. Parking is available near the trailhead, making access to this stunning area easy.

This trail stands out for its rich biodiversity, home to over 135 endemic plant species and offering the chance to spot wildlife such as ibex or griffon vultures.
