The Trelleborgen is not exactly a relict of old times. It is a quarter of a reconstructed fort in the city center. Trelleborg was once a famous harbour during the vikings age from 793 through 1050. In the 1980s archaeologists discovered the traces of a Viking castle right here. It had a diameter of astounishing 140 meters. You can visit the fort all day long to get an impression of the once gigantic castle.
