The Montforthaus is the city's cultural center, and the restaurant also offers wonderful lunch menus on the top floor – in summer, on the airy terrace with stunning views of the city and Schattenburg Castle. This architectural gem is a versatile event venue and was built according to the principles of a "green & smart building." A must-see!

The foundation stone for the new building was laid in April 2013, the topping-out ceremony was celebrated on November 8 of the same year and construction was completed in November 2014. The new building was officially opened on January 2, 2015 in the presence of Governor Markus Wallner and Mayor Wilfried Berchtold.
