Qelle hiking highlight: This windmill is the oldest still preserved in the Plön district. Built in 1829 as "Erdholländer" (the post mill built in 1590 was replaced by it), it has been privately owned since 1893, after the Preetz Monastery gave up its own management. Wind power was still used to operate the mill until 1951. The mill cannot be visited.

Tip: it could be so beautiful if it weren't tamed behind a sawtooth fence - Schönberg's windmill from 1829.
