Hiking

As long as this exciting testimony is cherished and cared for and is open to the public, a visit is worthwhile. It is our history that can be experienced here. Very impressive and very interesting!

The submarine U-461 belongs to the Soviet project 651. It is the last remaining boat of this class of the largest conventional underwater missile cruiser ever built. The boat serves as a museum in the Peenemünde Museum Landscape on Usedom and can be viewed there for a fee.

Hiking

The submarine Juliett U-461 with the gigantic dimensions of a six-story house is located in Peenemünder Hafen.
Developed as a Russian weapon against US aircraft carrier combat groups, the Juliett U-461 was built in the early 1960s and entered service in 1965. ..Since 1988 in reserve status, the submarine was decommissioned in 1991.
In 1998 two tugs brought the U-461 to Peenemünde.

Diving and echo sounder noises as well as the narrowness of the tour left an oppressive impression on us during our visit 2 years ago.

We recommend!
